Edward N. Antoian, CPA, CFA – Partner
Edward N. Antoian earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Ed is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia, and serves on the board of Urban Outfitters and Chester Valley Golf Club.
In addition to ZCA, from 1997-2014, Ed was a founding member of Chartwell Investment Partners, an $8 billion institutional asset manager where he oversaw the growth strategy investment portfolios. Prior to Chartwell, Ed was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Delaware Investment Advisors, managing institutional assets in small and mid-cap growth styles, as well as the Trend and DelCap Funds. Under his leadership, The DelCap Fund grew from $50 million to $3 billion and was the number-one performing fund for the 5-year period ended March 1991 and the 10-year period ended March 1996.
Ed is also founder and General Partner of Zeke, LP, a privately offered long-short equity hedge fund.
Originally from New York, Ed and his wife, Janet, moved to the Philadelphia area in 1980 and have three children. The couple are very active in Delaware Valley Children’s Charity (DVCC) and the family enjoys travel to new and interesting places.
Gee Smith – Partner, President
Gee Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA from James Madison University. Prior to joining Zeke, he was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. As part of the senior leadership team of the Private Wealth Management group for 13 years, his responsibilities spanned many roles. Most recently he was the Chairman, CEO and President of the Goldman Sachs Trust Companies, which served as the corporate trustee for over $17 billion of both private client and institutional assets. His additional responsibilities included serving as the head of Wealth Advisory Services, a nationwide team focused on working with clients and their advisors in the areas of wealth, tax and philanthropic planning.
Gee was a trustee for the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund, the Kirchman Foundation and currently serves as the head of the finance committee for the board of the Agnes Irwin School.
Gee lives in Haverford, PA with his wife and three children.
Paul M. Polries, CFA, CAIA – Partner, Head of Research
Paul M. Polries earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Paul holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Prior to joining Zeke, Paul was Managing Director, Head of Research at Overture Investments where he led the firm’s efforts in research and selection of investment managers. Serving as the Director of Investment Research at Windermere Investment Associates, Paul directed the firm’s research process on traditional managers. Prior to joining Windermere, he served as Director of Research for Lockwood Financial Group, overseeing a group of analysts responsible for evaluating, selecting and terminating investment managers from the managed account program.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Paul lives in West Chester, Pa., with his wife, Jeanne, and their two children.
