Edward N. Antoian*, CPA, CFA
Founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer

Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.  He is the Chief Investment Officer at ZCA.  Ed is a founding member of Chartwell Investment Partners, a $4.5 billion institutional asset manager.  Since its inception in 1997 and to the present, he has served  as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing all of the investment portfolios.  He is also founder and General Partner of Zeke, LP, a privately offered long-short equity hedge fund.  Prior to co-founding Chartwell, Ed was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Delaware Investment Advisers, managing institutional assets in small and mid-cap growth styles as well as the Trend and DelCap Funds.  Under his leadership, The Delcap Fund grew from $50 million to $3 billion and was the number one performing fund for the 5-year period ended March 1991 and the 10-year period ended March 1996.  Ed is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Originally from NY, Ed and his wife Janet moved to the area in 1980 and have three children.  Ed and Janet are very active in Delaware Valley Children’s Charity (DVCC) and the family enjoys travel to new and interesting places.  

Paul M. Polries", CFA, CAIA
Director of Research, Co-Chair of the Investment Committee

Paul earned a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.  Paul holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.  He is the Head of Research and co-chairs the Investment Committee at Zeke.  Prior to joining Zeke, he was Managing Director, Head of Research at Overture Investments where he led the firm’s efforts in research and selection of investment managers.  Serving as the Director of Investment Research at Windermere Investment Associates, Paul directed the firm’s research process on traditional managers.  Prior to joining Windermere, he served as Director of Research for Lockwood Financial Group overseeing a group of analysts responsible for evaluating, selecting and terminating investment managers from the managed account program. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Paul lives in West Chester, PA with his wife Jeanne. They have two children.

Steven A. Tazza*

Director of Portfolio Management, Co-Chair of the Investment Committee

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree with merit from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  He is the Head of Portfolio Management and co-chairs the Investment Committee at Zeke.  Prior to joining Zeke, he was a Senior Vice President and co-founded the Special Investments Group at Lehman Brothers and led the Discretionary Investment Advisory Representative Business and Capital Markets Execution Desk at Barclays Wealth Americas.  From 2002-2007 he managed a long-short equity hedge fund with the initial backing of a Forbes 400 member.  From 1996 to 2001 he worked as a Vice President in Private Client Services at Goldman Sachs, Inc. Steve is a member of the 1980’s South Pittsburgh High School Football Team of the Decade and was elected to the Upper St. Clair High School Athletic Hall of Fame (Pgh., PA) in 2004.  While at the Naval Academy, he was one of 50 Division 1-A Football players in the United States to receive the Toyota Leader Award (1989) for combined achievement in academics, leadership, and athletics.  He lives in Yardley, PA with his wife Deborah and their two children.

Frank M. Natale, CIMA®
Director, Client Services


Frank received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and earned his CIMA® designation, specializing in investment management consulting.  Prior to joining ZCA, Frank served as the Director of the Wealth Management Group at Brandywine Global, a $32 billion asset management firm serving individual and institutional clients.  From 1996 to 2005, Frank was a Principal and Director of Sales and Marketing at Rorer Asset Management.  While at the Penn, Frank was a four year member of the University’s football team.  He is a member of the Investment Management Consultant Association and resides in Ambler, PA with his wife Dana and their four children. 

John F. Kemmerer*, CAIA

Director of Alternative Investment Research

John earned his Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Duke University.  For the five years prior to joining Zeke, John was a Senior Research Analyst at Citi Smith Barney, focused on sourcing and researching alternative investments within the institutional consulting group.  Previously, John was a Portfolio Manager, Risk Manager, and Chief Operations Officer for Carpathian Investment Group in support of their Carpathian Fund I, LP.  From 1987 to 1998, John held various positions at proprietary trading firm Tague Securities Corporation.  He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and has been involved in exam development for the CAIA Association. John and his wife Caitlin have three children and live in Malvern, PA.  As a family, they enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities and are also active in volunteering for Chester County Council, BSA and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Kevin J. O'Shea, Esq., CPA

Senior Analyst, Alternative Investments

Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Binghamton University and an MBA from The University of Chicago. He also earned a JD degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the New York State Bar. Prior to joining Zeke, he spent two years as Senior Vice President, Alternative Strategies at Persimmon Capital Management where he sourced, evaluated and invested in hedge funds on behalf of the firm’s hedge fund of fund products. Prior to joining Persimmon, Kevin spent eight years as a Senior Analyst at Radcliffe Capital Management, a convertible bond arbitrage hedge fund that managed in excess of $700 million. From 1995 to 2001, he was an investment banker focused on mergers & acquisitions. His most recent role was a Vice President in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank and prior to that was an Associate at SG Cowen and Prudential Securities.  Kevin lives in Abington, PA with his wife Halie and two children. 

Dan Eye, CFA

Client Portfolio Manager

Dan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Minor in Finance from Wilmington College and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. He started his career as a Private Equity Accountant at PFPC in Wilmington. In 2003 Dan joined JPMorgan Private Wealth Management as a Client Services Account Officer and subsequently Investment Associate where he managed over $250 million in assets for high net worth individuals, endowments and foundations.  He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Dan lives in Middletown, DE with his wife Jen and two daughters. 

Nilesh D. Patel, CFA

Client Portfolio Manager
Nilesh received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has also earned the CFA designation. He has been professionally investing for institutions, ultra high net worth families, and foundations since 1996. Prior to joining Zeke, Nilesh sourced, researched and implemented investments for ultra high net worth families, endowments, and foundations at Miller Investment Management. At Geewax Terker & Co., Nilesh served as a member of the multi-cap equity team fundamentally researching stocks and constructing portfolios through the application of the firm’s investment process. And, as a sell-side analyst at SG Cowen, he performed extensive due diligence on companies and sectors. Nilesh is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.  Nilesh spends his free time with his wife, Anita, and three extremely active children.

Todd R. Fungard

Analyst, Traditional Investments Todd graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with minors in Economics and Risk Management in 2003.  Upon graduation, he joined Evergreen Investments/Wachovia Bank working in the Institutional Customized Fixed Income Group as a Portfolio Manager Assistant.  In 2008, he moved to the Wealth Management side of Wachovia, subsequently Wells Fargo, as a Portfolio Manager where he was responsible for the management of a large volume of trust and agency accounts totaling over $200 million dollars.  Todd is currently a Level III Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.  He is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. In his free time Todd enjoys salt water fishing.  He and his wife Jamie live in Havertown,PA and are expecting their first child in early 2012.

Peter T. Toscani

Analyst, Alternative Investments

Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2001, after which he completed five years active duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy.  Upon transferring out of the military, he worked as an actuarial analyst for Watson Wyatt Worldwide (now Towers Watson), an actuarial consulting firm in New York.  During this time he calculated and summarized actuarial liabilities and expenses of pension and retirement plans for major Fortune 500 companies.  He is currently a Level III Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program. Pete is a competitive ice hockey player and he and his wife reside in Phoenixville,PA.

Joseph Bodnar

Data Analyst

Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from Saint Joseph’s University in 2009.  Upon graduation, he  joined Citco Funds as a member of the financial reporting team preparing financial statements for their hedge fund clients. While as Saint Joseph’s, Joe was a four year member of the University’s soccer team.

Christopher Fagley, CFP®
COO

Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Chester University in 1990.  Prior to joining Zeke, Chris spent 7 years as Vice President of Information Services with Glenmede Trust Company in Philadelphia, overseeing all wealth management and trading platforms. From 1998 to 2005, Chris was employed by Davidson Trust Company in Devon, PA. as Vice President of Operations where he implemented order management and portfolio accounting systems, as well as oversaw all client and composite performance measurement.  Prior to Davidson, Chris spent 6 years with The Vanguard Group in Malvern, PA. as a relationship manager for HNW individuals before moving into a more operational/technical role with Vanguard’s fee-based advisory service.  Chris earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2008.  Chris resides with his wife and children in Paoli, PA.

Kate L. Miller
Technical Specialist

Kate earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2005 and a Master of Arts in Writing Studies in 2006 from Saint Joseph's University. She specializes in performance reporting for ultra high-net worth individuals and families. Prior to joining Zeke Capital, she worked as an operations associate at a local financial investment firm where she focused on performance reporting on alternative and illiquid securities. Previously, she assisted a financial planner at Sage Financial Group, where she and her team engaged in performance reporting, due diligence and financial plan development. Kate is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and an avid reader and writer.

Chris Boyle

Manager of Client Service

Chris received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from St. Joseph’s University. He started his career at The Vanguard Group where he worked in both the client services and operations departments during his tenure. After Vanguard, Chris was a client service specialist for a high-net worth investment advisor in the Philadelphia area. His responsibilities included trading, money movement, cash-flow analysis, new accounts, and account maintenance. Chris and his son live in Audubon, PA. In his spare time, Chris enjoys golf, movies, and sketching.

Jason A. Bobber
Manager of Operations

Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from York College of PA.  He has over 10 years of experience with portfolio management systems and trade implementation. He joined Turner Investment Partners in 2001 where he worked in marketing and on the wrap trading desk.  In 2009 Jason joined State Street as an International Trade Processing Specialist where he helped the company upgrade to a global transaction management system.  Most recently, Jason worked at Sage Financial as Manager of Financial Reporting and Trading. In that role, he was responsible for client reporting, trading, reconciliation and maintenance of Sage’s Axys Portfolio Management System. Jason enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family. He lives in Wayne, PA with his wife Vicki and their son.

Filippa DePaolo
Sr. Administrative Officer

Filippa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from St. Joseph’s University in 1981.  Upon graduating, she worked for Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance as a technical documentation writer and trainer in their Computer Systems department.  In 1992 she joined Delaware Management Company assisting the small cap growth team, then went to Chartwell Investment Partners at its inception in 1997 where her duties included meeting coordination, hedge fund client services, and high net worth client bill paying.  Filippa is an avid salsa dancer.
